This is a Black-led communiversity.
We offer educational opportunities for individuals committed to dismantling systemic oppression and nurturing collective liberation from the intersections of anti-Blackness and other forms of oppression.
Values
Dignity-Centered Pedagogy
We prioritize acknowledging and honoring the inherent dignity of every individual.
We facilitate discussions and activities that deepen participants' understanding of dignity as a guiding principle, empowering them to promote dignity in all interactions.
We equip community members with practical strategies for upholding dignity in decision-making processes, and fostering a culture of respect and empowerment within their communities.
Queering Institutions
We value authenticity and encourage everyone to express themselves without fear of discrimination or prejudice. We foster environments where individuals can bring their whole selves to work and feel empowered to express their gender identity and sexual orientation openly.
We hold education and awareness-building efforts to challenge stereotypes, biases, and misconceptions about LGBTQ+ individuals. We promote training and resources to increase understanding and support for LGBTQ+ inclusion among all.
We recognize the importance of community and support networks for LGBTQ+ employees. We foster a sense of belonging and solidarity among LGBTQ+ individuals and accomplices, providing resources and networks for connection and support.
Afrofuturist Solidarity
We encourage engaging in Afrofuturist thinking to envision a future where Black individuals are liberated from anti-Blackness.
Through creative exercises and exploration of themes like innovation, creativity, and resilience, participants cultivate a sense of empowerment and possibility.
We inspire participants to take concrete steps toward creating change by translating their envisioned futures into actionable initiatives within their communities.
Beloved Community Building
We see conflict as generative to individual and collective learning.
We prioritize creating spaces of belonging, affirmation, and amplification of diverse voices within our workshops and dialogue sessions.
Through storytelling, active listening exercises, and conflict resolution techniques, participants gain skills to create inclusive environments where differences are celebrated and conflicts are constructively addressed.
We foster solidarity against anti-Black harm by providing opportunities for community members to unite, celebrate differences, and stand together to support justice and liberation.
